What makes EyeTex different?
We are the only online network exclusively specializing in matching eye technicians and photographers with eye doctors. We are experienced in vetting ophthalmic and optometric technicians, assistants, and photographers, and have a proven track record of successfully matching them with eye doctors. Every single candidate is interviewed by our team before being presented as an option to our doctors.
Do I need any experience to join the network?
No. Many eye doctors are open to “on the job” training. Many ophthalmic technicians begin their career this way. That being said, eye doctors have the option of pre-selecting candidates with certifications (COA, COT, etc) depending on their staffing needs.
Is this free to join EyeTex?
Absolutely. Eye technicians and photographers join the network for free. Employers – ophthalmologists and optometrists – pay a modest fee to be matched with their preferred candidates.
Will I need to undergo a background check?
While EyeTex does not require criminal background checks, it is ultimately up to the discretion of the employer to decide whether or not it will be required for employment.
Is this network for short-term or long-term hires?
Both. An employer may require an acute position to be filled immediately, or may be hiring for planned future growth. We provide staffing solutions for every clinic scenario.
